Based in Neuchâtel (Switzerland), hiLyte is a startup that was founded in 2017 and aims at making an impact on people’s lives. It mostly aims at providing solution to two huge issues:
1) In order to have a successful transition towards Renewable Energy, there is still a lot of research to make to improve batteries. This research is conditioned by the will and the knowledge of the young generation, who needs to understand as much as possible how energy is stored now. This led to the creation of hiLyte Education, providing kits for teachers to illustrate their classes on the topic.
2) In developing countries, more than a billion people still live out of the grid, can not charge their phones, and burn kerosene for lighting. The iron battery developed by hiLyte provides enough power to charge a phone and light a LED, fulfilling the basic needs of a family.
